Body & Design

Apple designed the iPhone 7 Plus with a length of 158.2 mm and a width of 77.9 mm, while the thickness of the phone is 7.3 mm. 

Apple made the front face of the iPhone 7 Plus from glass, which is coated with gorilla glass and resistant to scratching and breakage, while the back face and the frame surrounding the phone were made of aluminum.

The weight of the iPhone 7 Plus is 188 grams, which is greater than the weight of the iPhone 7 if we compare them, and the iPhone 7 Plus is classified within the IP67 standard for dust and water resistance, where the phone can resist water for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter.

The iPhone 7 Plus is available in the following colors: black, glossy black, gold, rose gold, silver, and red.


Display

The iPhone 7 Plus comes with a Retina HD screen, which is a multi-touch LCD screen and IPS technology, and this screen measures 5.5 inches (diagonally) with an area of 83.4 cm2 and this area constitutes 67.7% of the front face of the phone.

The screen resolution of the iPhone 7 Plus is 1080×1920 pixels and the pixel density in the screen is 401 ppi (pixels per inch), and the maximum screen brightness is 625 nits per square inch at the standard value, and the iPhone 7 Plus screen comes painted with a coating resistant to oils and fingerprints.


Processor & system

The iPhone 7 Plus is running iOS 10.0.1, which can be updated to iOS 13.6.1.
The iPhone 7 Plus comes with an A10 Fusion processor, which is designed by Apple. 


The Apple A10 Fusion processor comes with four cores: two of the Hurrican type at a frequency of 2.34 GHz and two of the Zephyr type at a frequency of 1.8 GHz. 


The graphics processor of the iPhone 7 Plus is the PowerVR GT7600 Plus, and this processor comes with six cores with a frequency of 900 MHz.


Memory

The iPhone 7 Plus comes in three versions:
  • The first version comes with an internal memory of 32 GB and a random-access memory (RAM) of 3 GB.
  • The second version comes with an internal memory of 128 GB and a random-access memory (RAM) of 3 GB.
  • The third version comes with an internal memory of 256 GB and a random-access memory (RAM) of 3 GB.
The internal memory of the iPhone 7 is NVME, and the random-access memory (RAM) is of the LPDDR4 type.


Camera

Apple has provided the iPhone 7 Plus with a dual rear camera, one with a wide-angle lens and the other with a lens to bring distances closer, in addition to the presence of a front camera, and the following are the most prominent specifications of these cameras:

Wide-angle camera: 

12MP resolution, f/1.8 aperture, 28mm, and sensor size 1/3".

Telephoto camera:

12 MP resolution, aperture f/2.8, incandescent dimension 56mm, and sensor size 1/3.6".

There is optical image stabilization as the dual rear camera is equipped with an optical stabilizer type (OIS). 

The rear camera records video in 4K at 30 frames per second, in 1080p at 30 frames per second, 60 frames per second, or 120 frames per second, and in 720p at 240 frames per second.

Front Camera: 

The front camera resolution in the iPhone 7 Plus is 7 MP, the aperture is f/2.2, and the incendiary dimension is 32 mm.

This camera records video in 1080p resolution and is equipped with an optical stabilizer to ensure image clarity.


Network

The iPhone 7 Plus supports GSM/CMDA/HSPA/EVDO/LTE networks, meaning that it supports 2G, 3G, and 4G networks.

The iPhone 7 also supports WiFi communication technology in the following versions: WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, in addition to the hotspot feature and the dual band feature. 


This phone also supports NFC data transfer technology, where data is transferred by bringing the phone closer to another device that contains this technology.

 

The iPhone 7 Plus also supports GPS, Glonass, Galileo, or QZSS technology, and this phone is equipped with a USB Lighting port.


Battery

Apple has provided the iPhone 7 Plus with a non-removable lithium-ion battery, and the capacity of this battery is 2900 mAh. The duration of battery consumption is according to the processes that take place through the phone, which are as follows:

  • The battery is enough for 21 hours if we talk only wirelessly over 3G.
  • The battery is good for 16 hours in standby mode.
  • The battery is enough for 13 hours when using the internet on the 3G network.
  • The battery is enough for 13 hours when using the Internet on the 4G LTE network.
  • The battery is enough for 15 hours when using wifi.
  • The iPhone 7 can be charged via a power adapter or by connecting the phone to the computer using a USB cable.
